1. Cancellation and refunds

If you buy as a consumer online, you normally have 14 days from the date of the contract to cancel without giving a reason. To cancel, email j.bailey@compalley.com with a clear statement that you wish to cancel.

If you ask Compalley to begin digital supply during that 14-day period and acknowledge that your cancellation right may be lost, your right to cancel ends when the digital content is supplied to the extent permitted by law. Once a voucher or associated digital material has been issued or redeemed, it cannot normally be changed, transferred or refunded unless your statutory rights require otherwise.

For a purchase made wholly for business purposes, an order cannot be cancelled after Compalley has placed it with PeopleCert or issued the voucher. Contact Compalley immediately if you make an error before fulfilment.

Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded, including rights relating to services or digital content that are not supplied, not as described or otherwise defective. Any refund due will be made to the original payment method without undue delay and normally within 14 days after Compalley agrees that it is due.

2. Your responsibilities

  • Check that you are buying the correct qualification and language.
  • For Practitioner, hold an accepted prerequisite before sitting the examination.
  • Use accurate details that match the identification document required by PeopleCert.
  • Check system compatibility and comply with PeopleCert examination rules.
  • Redeem the voucher and schedule the examination and any Take2 resit before the applicable expiry date.
  • Do not share, resell or misuse vouchers, materials or protected examination content.

3. PeopleCert conditions

PeopleCert manages voucher redemption, official materials, exam booking, identification checks and online proctoring. Your account details must match an accepted form of identification, and you must complete the required system checks and follow the examination rules. Take2 applies only after a failed first attempt, for the same examination, and must be used within six months. It is non-transferable, non-refundable and is lost if the resit is missed.

4. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without removing any mandatory right a consumer may have to bring proceedings in another part of the United Kingdom where they live.

5. Model cancellation notice

You may use the following wording, although you do not have to:

“To Compalley Ltd, j.bailey@compalley.com: I give notice that I cancel my contract for [product], ordered on [date]. My name is [name], my address is [address], and the date of this notice is [date].”
